Mental health is a pressing issue for all of us, and it’s important to know that it is okay to ask for help, but it’s also okay to not be okay.

In this article, I will discuss the best applications available on the play store and apple app market for mental health. Because just like your physical health, it’s crucial to stay on top of it and get help when needed.

Calm

The first app on our list we’ll be looking at is Calm. Calm boasts of being the number one app on the AppStore for sleep, meditation and relaxation. Calm is known for being the perfect mindfulness app for beginners. The application is made with peace in mind offering hundreds of inbuilt programs designed to help you shut off from the outside world and relax.

Perhaps you have issues sleeping? Then calm is most definitely a fantastic choice for you, as calm offers sleep stories and an extensive array of bedtime stories that guarantee to lull you into a deep and restful slumber. We highly recommend this choice; it’s certainly worth checking out.

Headspace

The next app on our list is so popular we are confident you have heard of it before, and that app is, of course, headspace. Headspace is a dedicated app for guided meditation; the app lists itself as the go-to app for guiding you to mindfulness. The app boasts learning meditation skills from a former monk and co-founder of the application Andy Puddicombe among others in the field.

Headspace, through science-backed meditation and mindfulness tools, helps you create life-changing habits to support your mental health. I personally believe if any app from this blog is worth your time to download and give it a try, it’s this one. Headspace is not only well known but has a wide variety of meditation options to suit your needs.

Moodfit

Moodfit is arguably one of the best on this list for its practical application and variety. From daily goals to its CBT thought records you can set the app to help in whatever you feel you need to get your mental health on track and focus on you. Track your sleep, exercise, nutrition and much more with this highly versatile application.

Moodfit may not be the most well known application on this list, but it’s a great contender for the perfect app to be used to keep your mental health on track. Everyone can benefit from using Moodfit and with a 4.6 star rating out of 5 on the apple iOS App Store it’s also an exceptionally popular choice too!
